# Breast Injection Price in India: What's Actually Injected

"What is the breast injection price?" is often the first message a clinic receives, sent before any question about what the injection contains. Yet a breast injection price means little until the clinic states what is in the syringe and how long it lasts, along with what removal involves if something goes wrong.

Three very different things are sold in India under the label of breast augmentation injection: hyaluronic acid filler, permanent synthetic gels such as polyacrylamide or liquid silicone, and fat taken from your own body. One was withdrawn for breast use and one group is known for hard lumps that are difficult to remove. Only one has a genuine evidence base. This guide separates them, compares their long-term cost with implants and lists the warning signs of a risky offer.

This is general information only and not a substitute for medical advice from a qualified plastic surgeon who has examined you.

## Who this article is for

- Women who have been quoted for "breast injections" and want to know what they would actually receive
- Anyone searching *breast badhane ka injection price* who wants a straight answer before paying a deposit
- Patients weighing a non-surgical option against [breast augmentation with implants](/procedures/breast-augmentation/) or [breast fat transfer](/procedures/breast-fat-transfer/)
- Anyone who already has injected filler and is worried about lumps

If you are still comparing creams and exercises, [what actually increases breast size](/blog/how-to-increase-breast-size-guide/) covers that ground first.

## What is actually in a breast augmentation injection?

A breast augmentation injection is one of three things: a temporary hyaluronic acid filler, a permanent synthetic gel (polyacrylamide hydrogel or liquid silicone), or your own fat, harvested by liposuction. The US FDA has not approved any injectable filler for breast enlargement. Of the three, only fat transfer is an established, evidence-based way to add breast volume by injection. Quotes rarely say which one is meant, so first ask for the product name and whether it is temporary or permanent.

## Hyaluronic acid breast fillers: tried and withdrawn

Hyaluronic acid (HA) belongs to the same filler family used in lips and cheeks, made in a thicker form for body use. The best-known breast product, Macrolane, was marketed in Europe and then withdrawn for breast enhancement around 2012, after radiologists raised concerns that it interfered with breast imaging and patients reported lumps. It is temporary, so the volume fades as the body absorbs it.

Scale is the first problem. A lip treatment uses about 1 ml; breast enlargement needs many tens of millilitres per side. Those deposits can form palpable lumps or become walled off by scar tissue. They can also shift or become infected. On a mammogram or ultrasound they can obscure or mimic changes that need investigating. Imaging after augmentation is covered in [mammograms with breast implants](/blog/mammograms-with-breast-implants-india/).

## Polyacrylamide gel and liquid silicone: permanent, and hard to undo

Polyacrylamide hydrogel and liquid silicone are permanent, and that is exactly the problem. Once injected, they cannot be dissolved. Reported complications include granulomas (hard inflammatory lumps) and migration of the material towards the armpit or chest wall. Chronic infection and pain are also reported, as is breast deformity, sometimes appearing years after the injection. China's regulator withdrew approval for polyacrylamide injection in 2006, and the FDA has warned against injectable silicone for body enhancement.

Removal is where the real cost lies. The gel spreads into breast tissue and muscle rather than staying in one pocket, so surgery often cannot retrieve all of it, and severe cases can leave a deformity that needs reconstruction. Scattered lumps also make cancer screening harder to interpret. If you already have injected gel and notice a hard lump or a change in shape, with or without pain, an examination and imaging by a plastic surgeon is the sensible next step.

## Fat transfer: the breast injection with an evidence base

Fat transfer is the one breast injection with a sound evidence base. Fat is taken by liposuction from areas such as the abdomen or thighs. It is then purified and injected in small amounts through the breast. Because it is your own tissue, there is no foreign material to migrate. The trade-off is a modest gain, typically up to about one cup size per session, and only part of the transferred fat survives.

- **Fat survival.** Some fat is reabsorbed over the first few months, so the result is judged at around three to six months. A second session is sometimes planned.
- **Donor fat.** Very slim women may not have enough spare fat, and liposuction brings its own recovery, including bruising and possible contour irregularity.
- **Risks.** Fat necrosis, oil cysts, small calcifications, infection, asymmetry and anaesthesia risks. Calcifications can show on mammograms, though experienced radiologists can usually tell them apart from suspicious changes, though a biopsy is occasionally needed to be certain.
- **Hybrid option.** Women wanting more size than fat alone can deliver may suit an implant with a fat layer over it.

How the two surgical routes compare is set out in [breast implants vs fat transfer](/blog/breast-augmentation-vs-fat-transfer-india/).

## What does breast injection price look like over ten years?

A per-session breast injection price looks low because it pays for one session of a temporary product. HA filler absorbed over roughly one to two years would need several repeat sessions over a decade, each at a full fee. Fat transfer is usually one or two procedures. Implants are one surgery, with a realistic chance of a revision and periodic imaging later. Permanent gels carry no repeat fee, but treating their complications can cost more than any other option.

| Option | Upfront | Over ten years | Hidden cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| HA filler (where still offered) | per-session fee, often priced per ml | repeat sessions to hold volume | imaging difficulty, lump treatment |
| Polyacrylamide or silicone | one-time fee | none planned | removal surgery, reconstruction |
| Fat transfer | one procedure, quoted case by case | sometimes a second session | liposuction recovery |
| Implants | one surgery, quoted after an examination | possible revision | ultrasound or MRI surveillance |

Implants carry their own risks, including capsular contracture and rupture as well as the rare BIA-ALCL, covered in [breast augmentation](/procedures/breast-augmentation/).

The same factors drive any quote: the product or technique, the volume, who performs it, the facility and anaesthesia standard, the number of sessions, and the follow-up included. Multiply a per-session figure by the sessions needed before comparing it with a one-time surgical fee.

## Red flags when a clinic offers cheap breast injections

Walk away if the injection is offered in a salon or beauty parlour or by someone who is not a qualified doctor. The same applies to a clinic that cannot name the product. A safe offer starts with a breast examination and a written explanation of what will be injected, not a price.

- The product name and batch label are not shown before the procedure
- "Permanent filler" or "one injection, lifelong result" is part of the pitch
- A specific cup size or "no side effects" is promised
- No questions about breast lumps, previous breast surgery or family history
- A per-ml price arrives on WhatsApp before any consultation
- No written consent listing the risks
- Pressure to pay and book on the same day

Many of these pitches lean on familiar [breast size myths](/blog/breast-size-myths-facts-plastic-surgeon/).

## Gurgaon context: what a consultation covers

In our Gurgaon practice, we do not offer injectable breast fillers. For women in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR who want more volume, the options discussed are fat transfer and implants, alone or as a hybrid, each quoted after an examination as a starting-from figure, never over the phone. A written quote should itemise the surgeon's fee, theatre and anaesthesia, the implants or fat processing, and follow-up.

Consultations at the clinic in Sector 43, Sushant Lok 1, are with Dr. Shikha Bansal, MBBS (Gold Medalist), MS General Surgery, MCh Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, registered with the Haryana Medical Council (Reg No. 24859). Women who already have injected filler can be examined and referred for imaging before any further plan is made. To discuss your options, [book a consultation](/contact/).

## Frequently asked questions

**What is the breast injection price in India?**
It depends on what is injected and how often it must be repeated. Temporary fillers are usually priced per session or per ml, so the ten-year total is far higher than the first quote. Fat transfer and implants are quoted as surgical fees after an examination; a second fat session or a later implant revision can add to the total.

**Is breast augmentation by injection permanent?**
Hyaluronic filler is temporary and absorbs over time. Polyacrylamide and silicone are permanent, which is why their complications are so hard to treat. Fat transfer gives a lasting result once the surviving fat settles, typically by three to six months, though like other body fat it can change with significant weight gain or loss.

**Are breast filler injections safe?**
Synthetic breast fillers carry real risks. Lumps and granulomas can form, and the material can migrate or become infected. It can also interfere with breast imaging, and no injectable filler is FDA-approved for breast enlargement. Fat transfer by a plastic surgeon is a well-studied technique with a good safety profile, though it still carries surgical risks such as fat necrosis and oil cysts.

**What is breast badhane ka injection, and does it work?**
It is the Hindi search for the same breast augmentation injections described above. Synthetic fillers add temporary or permanent volume, with the risks listed here. Your own fat is the injection with evidence behind it.

**Can breast filler injection be removed later?**
HA filler can sometimes be dissolved or drained. Polyacrylamide and silicone usually need surgery, and complete removal is often not possible.

A breast injection price only makes sense once you know what is in the syringe. An examination will show which option, if any, suits your body. [Book a consultation](/contact/)
